1. DEVELOPMENT OF BEACH AND ECO TOURISM

(a)Whether Government proposes to develop beach tourism, forest and
wildlife tourism and eco-tourism in the country;
(b)If so, the details thereof,State-wise; and
(c)The allocation of funds made for the purpose during last three years,
State-wise?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF TOURISM(KUMARI SELJA)
(a), (b) & (c): Ministry of Tourism provides Central Financial
Assistance (CFA) to the State Governments/UT Administrations for
development of tourism products including beach tourism, forest and
wildlife tourism and eco-tourism under the Scheme of
Product/Infrastructure Development for Destinations and Circuits, based
on the proposals received from State Governments/UT Administrations
subject to availability of funds and inter-se priority.
The details of projects for development of tourism including beach,
forest and wildlife tourism and eco-tourism sanctioned to the State
Governments/UT Administrations by the Ministry of Tourism in the last
three years are at Annexure.
